The Twelve Disciples in the Lectionary of the Coptic Orthodox Church

The Coptic Orthodox Church reveals much about the life of the early Church and grants her members a mastery of the Holy Scriptures through her Lectionary — the system of daily liturgical readings. Through these readings, Coptic Christians are granted an intimate familiarity with the ministry and experience of the blessed Disciples and Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, in their preaching of Him and His glorious Resurrection to the ends of the earth. This work presents a charted summary of the Twelve Disciples in the readings of the liturgical year along with the brief exhortatory accounts of their lives recorded in the Coptic Synaxarium and Antiphonarium.
